Download BrochureCeTeau segmental reinforced blocks wall, Economical, Flexible, Durable, Easy to install, and aesthetically pleasing. Our block walls are gravity retaining walls consisting of concrete masonry units, which are placed without the use of mortar (dry stacked), and which rely on a combination of the mechanical tongue and groove interlock, mass and geogrid anchoring to prevent overturning and sliding. The geogrid reinforcement which extends into the backfill forms in combination with the horizontal layers of compacted soil a integrated system, to increase the effective width and weight of the gravity mass.
The system has enormous design flexibility - The walls are composed of units whose size and weight makes it possible to construct walls in the most difficult of locations. Curves and other unique layouts can be easily accommodated. Segmental reinforced retaining walls have the ability to function equally well in large scale applications (highway walls, bridge abutments, erosion control, parking area supports, etc.) as well as smaller residential landscape projects.
CeTeau reinforced block walls can be constructed up to an 87 degree angle and virtually unlimited height in combination with CeTeau high strength, low creep uni-axial geogrid reinforcement.

Geogrid Reinforcement
CeTeau uni-axial geogrids are meshes with elongated apertures made from high density polyethylene (HDPE). Their principal characteristic is good creep performance with low strain and high strength under constant load.
The following characteristics attribute to the quality of CeTeau grids; rib thickness, shape and stiffness, aperture size and modulus.
CeTeau uni-axial grids are manufactured in a modern factory with state of the art machinery and 24 hour quality control by an in-house fully equipped laboratory."
C-Block Concept
CeTeau C-Blocks are pre-cast wall facing units, which form a integral wall by the unique tongue and groove design. The tongue design and slightly tapered sides allows the blocks to be placed in a in- or outward radius of up to 2.75 meter. The groove dimension determines the batter of the wall and allows space for the connector strips, providing excellent load distribution.
Several facing options and colour pigments are available depending on the wishes of the client. The block facing size is 200 by 400 mm and features a internal cavity in order to save weight.
Connector Strips
A critical factor in the performance of the reinforced retaining wall structure is the connection between the geogrid and the block wall facing units.
The CeTeau connector strips deliver a 100% effective mechanical connection with the geogrids and the C-blocks to form a totally integrated system. Using a continuous connector strip embedded in the tongue and groove of the C-block guaranties uniform load distribution between the grid and the blocks.
History
Dry-castorzero-slump concrete block products began in the United States in 1876, making one block unit at a time.
